Wednesday January 15th 1913 I was busy with the work most of the forenoon. Hattie & Cora were out in afternoon I sewed on [carrot?] covers for Hattie. Rob came out to supper. Cora went down to an entertainment and Rob & Hattie went home together. Hattie told us tonight that Ott was to buy an Automobile. It makes me feel very badly. I had hoped he would not. Thursday January 16th 1913 I was busy most of the forenoon but sewed a little. I went down home in afternoon. Cora was not well today. Hattie had all the folks up from Otts to a turkey supper. Emily Bremmer was there and I came home at 9:30 when she went to Cedar Rapids. I have felt wretched all day. I did not sleep well. Friday January 17th 1913 Did the work in the forenoon and had dinner so I went down town at 1:15. Went to see the Dr I felt so badly. Then to the meeting at Mrs Langers and a call at Minnie Showers. I did not get home till 5:40. I wrote a letter to Mary Briggs after I got my evening work done. Saturday Januaruy 18th 1913 I gave the house a good going over and baked bread before noon. Mollie came out at 11:30 with Will. He went back to town awhile in the afternoon. We visited and worked. I finished Hatties [carret?] covers by late bed-time. It has been a nice winter day. I sent a paper to Lydia with the account that Edith Hepburn Thurmond had died on board ship just out of San Francisco.
