Tuesday April 15th 1913 I did a big washing without help. Will busy about the place and planted the garden. I ironed in the afternoon. After supper went down to the store for garden seeds. Wednesday April 16th 1913 I did some baking in the forenoon and swept the whole house. It was four oclock before I was done. Will made garden in the forenoon and went to town in afternoon. I went down town after supper and to Picture show of Ohio floods and Omaha Cyclone. had a letter from Mary Briggs today. Thursday April 17th 1913 Will doing some work about the place. I did the house work and began another rug for Hattie. I read all the evening. I had a letter from Lydia and J W Wash of Pontiac, Ill. Friday April 18th 1913 I went to town at 8:15. I got a lot of things and my hat trimmed and was at home on the 10:30. I got the dinner and worked all afternoon and till bed time to finish Hatties rug. She will not be home till Monday, Saturday April 19th 1913 I did the work and fixed a rug I am going to give to Fannie. Will to town in afternoon. I was alone most of the evening and felt very sad. I did not care to read. a card from Winnie saying her sister Laura died Thursday. Sunday April 20th 1913 I went to church alone and to Van Meters for dinner. Then I came down to see Emma Hart awhile. I read after I came home. Rob & Cora were out in the evening.
