Sunday June 22nd 1913 After breakfast did packing. The girls took some pictures. Most of the family went to the depot with us. Left at 11:05 reached Joplin 9:30. Changing cars at Alton, a tiresone ride in day coahces. We got to Carthage about eleven on urban road. Paul Condon was on the car. We were very tired and went to bed very soon. Monday June 23rd 1913 Will went down town in forenoon. We all slept in afternoon. a slight shower in evening. we were at home. Tuesday June 24th 1913 We all cleaned up with bath and fresh clothes this morning and went to George Corwins for dinner. Spent the evening with Alice on her porch. Wednesday June 25th 1913 We went over to Emma Spence for dinner. At 5 oclock we took a car for Joplin. Sue Oustatt and Charlie Corwine met us. We spent a pleasant evening with them and Mattie in their nice home. Thursday June 26th 1913 Visited at Matties this forenoon and at 4:30 Charlie Abe and We visitors went to Lake Side a park between Joplin and Carthage. Some of the folks were over and we had a picnic supper. Alice brought our mail and there was a letter from Rob. He said Trixie had a colt all right the 24th. Will & I went home with Emma Spence for the night.
