Saturday July 12th 1913 I was up early to get my bread started. I had a nice dinner ready by noon. Hattie Lorin By & Millie Ott & Fannie were out for a visit. Millie stayed till after supper and went down at 8:15. a very pleasant day. Rob & Cora started at 10:56 for Davenport to take a boat for St Paul and then on to the Dows in Minnesota. Sunday July 12th 1913 I did a little house work and then slept till one oclock. At 4:15 went down to Mr Cochrans funeral and over the river with Lorie and Mrs Lee. Did not come home till 9:30. mailed a letter to Lizzie Lindley. Monday July 14th 1913 I was sewing what spare time I had. Aunt Emma Anna & Marjorie were out for the afternoon. Very warm wrote Lydia in the evening. Tuesday July 15th 1913 I sewed some in forenoon and went to town to get trimmings for my [divinty?] dress. I was over the river for supper. It is By & Millies last day here. LeGrand came out for Will early in the evening in the Auto to see about a little colt "Speculation" had. We all sat on Otts porch till 10:30. we came home. Wednesday July 16th 1913 It was frightening hot day. I sewed all day on my dress. I got the sleeves made. Word from Rob & Cora say they are enjoying their trip on the rive very much.
