Monday June 8th 1914 Will did some mowing weeds in the forenoon and I did the washing alone. I slept awhile in the afternoon. Then sat on the porch till bed time after doing the regular work. Tuesday June 9th 1914 I got up early and ironed before breakfast. I had a letter from Ida saying she would come on Thursday. I wrote her. I did some sewing in the afternoon. was on the porch all evening. Wednesday June 10th 1914 I did some baking and sweeping this monring. Will & I both went down at 1:15. I stopped at the bridge to go over to Hatties, Aunt Emmas family were there. I stayed till after supper, then went to town and to the picture show of Pauline. Thursday June 11th 1914 It rained some last night but we went down to Ada McCallisters in the Auto (William drove for us) to a cousins party. We had a splendid day getting back at six oclock. Ida did not came at 5:30. a letter from her says she is not well. I came on home at 6:30. a day to be rememered. Grand-mother's birthday. Friday June 12th 1914 I wrote a couple of letters in forenoon (to Ida & Cora) and did the work. Will had a dizzy spell soon after breakfast that worried me. Jennie brought her horse out to leave her for a awhile. Will and I drove her to town. We both went to Dr Smiths. We drove over home. I was going to help Hattie with the work. She had the P E O meeting. It looked like rain so I came on home and made 6 pints of strawberry jam.
