Friday November 6th 1914 I did some baking in the morning and was dressed to go to town at 1:15. I did some shopping and went out to Carrie Andersons to a reception. Very pleasant and a beautiful day. I came home at 4:30. I sewed some in the evening. Will & Mr Vaughn finished tearing down the old shed. Saturday November 7th 1914 Will was in town both forenoon and afternoon. I worked at the house work all day long. Did sweeping and cleaning. I was tired and went to bed early. a fine day. Sunday November 8th 1914 Will & I went to the Presbyterian Church with Hattie and she took dinner with us at the Borchle. We girls then went up to the cemetery and stopped at Mercy Hospital to see Susan Fletcher Garrett. We came home at 3:30. Rob & Cora stopped on their way home from Cedar Rapids at 6:15 for supper. They went on home at 8:35. I read some & wrote Lydia. Monday November 9th 1914 Will helped me do a big washing. I was very tired and wrote letters in the afternoon to Ida, Alice, Corrine, & cousin Jen. I folded the clothes and did a little mending. Tuesday November 10th 1914 I ironed in the forenoon and went down town at 2:15 to take the first fit on my dress. I did some errands and came home at 4:30. After supper I went down and spent the evening with Mrs Robinson. The weather is very nice indeed. Will cutting some wood and doing things about the place.
