Sunday December 6th 1914 I was at home all day as it was rainy. I put in the time with the work and looking over old papers and reading. Monday December 7th 1914 A dark drizzling day. I put in the time with work for the Bazaar and Christmas. Will reading. a good letter from Lydia. Tuesday December 8th 1914 The weather the same as yesterday and we put in the time much the same. very glad to stay at home. Wednesday December 9th 1914 I was busy with the work most of the forenoon. Went to town at 1:15. Did a lot of shopping got home at 4:30 and did fancy work all eve. Had a talk with Ott in afternoon about the ill feeling in the family. I was glad of a chance to do so. It is 16 years today since Edith died. Thursday December 10th 1914 I was at home all day. The weather still cloudy. I was at work all my spare time on holliday gifts. Friday December 11th 1914 We had dinner so we went to town at 12:15. I did some shopping and we selected a suit for Will. We then went out to look at the Seerley place. We do not want it. I left my things for bazaar with Carrie. Got home at 4:40. Saturday December 12th 1914 I ironed the few things I washed yesterday and sewed & did other work of the kind till bed time. Will to town for his new suit. It snowed some. Susan Garrett went home today. It is 16 years since we buried Edith.
