Saturday January 9th 1915 We unpacked our trunks and put things to rights in the forenoon. Did some writing. Late in the afternoon went down town in the Auto for things. Mrs Falk needed took a short ride and after supper spent the evening by the fire place. Sunday January 10th 1915 Walter took as to The Presbyterian Church in the forenoon. I did some writing and read some. The Folks had company for supper. Mr Taylors family. The daughter is to be married Thursday. Monday January 11th 1915 It rained all day long but the day was not tedious at all I wrote a long letter to Will & to Lydia. read some in a book did fancy work and visited with the folks. Some mail today. Tuesday January 12th 1915 We went down town this morning for some things and Hattie & I bought a wedding gift for Helen Taylor. I had a long letter forwarded from Lydia. She told that Ira at Okla City had met with an accident and was blind at least for a time. It is cooler since the rain. Wednesday January 13th 1915 The weather was much warmed. I took a long walk out in the orange groves in the morning and did some fancy work. After dinner Mr Falk took Hattie and I to a deserted farm near by to get some vegetables he was to get from there. Mrs Falk and Walter went to town later in the Auto. I wrote Warner McCall and cousin Jen today. We spent the evening by the fire place. Walter playing for us.
