Tuesday October 26th 1915 The folks all came that we invited. Mattie arrived at 8:40 from Denver. The guests were Uncle Jim, Aunt Ellen, & Aunt Lib. The first cousins and the wives of the men who are first cousins. The day was fine and msot delightfully spent by all apparently. Wednesday October 27th 1915 The Whetstones & Mrs Teeters left for Des Moines in the car at 8:30. I was busy with the work and visiting with Mattie. The Stevens came for her at four oclock. Mollie is staying over at Johns. Thursday October 28th 1915 I was busy about home. Did some washing. We heard from the folks. Ott recevied dispatch today that Cousin By died yesterday at 4:30. Millie will bring him to Mishawaka for burial. Friday October 29th 1915 Was busy with baking in forenoon. Went to Fannies after dinner. Mattie was there. William took us to ride. The folks got home at 5:30. Fine weather & good time. Mattie started home at 3:55. Rob took her to the depot. Hattie Cora & I went too. Saturday October 30th 1915 We girls talked most of the forenoon about out plans for the winter. Spent the afternoon and evening at home. Will up to Coralville for mail. a very pleasant day. Sunday October 31st 1915 Rob took us to church in the morning. Soon after dinner he took Ott Fannie Cora Hattie & I to ride. Will went to Coralville to attend Grant Dennis fineral. Hattie stopped at Old Ladies Home. Miss Smiley is dead.
