we had a most enjoyable visit. was sorry that Alvin was not able to come over to see us. we reached home at 6.30. I went over home with Mother for supper. Hattie had received a telegram that Idas Mother was dead She will be buried at [Roseville?] on Monday. I cam back to town with John so I got home at 8.39. Will met me and we talked till ten oclock. I will not soon forget this day. Charlie would have been 62 years old today. Sunday April 26 1908 It was such a bright day. I got things prepared for dinner and went to church. Will could not go. I called at the St James to see Ann Palmer [Hensley?] for a little time I came home to get dinner. Will went up in the afternoon to the Dedication of the new cemetery. I wrote to Ida Byington [Cutler?]. To Mr & Mrs [Y?]. W. Myers who have lost their little boy and Mrs Jane Woolf about Uncle John Woolfs death. I was busy most of the afternoon. Monday April 27 1908 I did the work and wrote to Lydia and a card to Joe Walker about the pasture in the morning I got ready to go to Woolfs after dinner but it began raining I was so glad I did not get away from home I began making a tatting handkerchief for [illegible] Mason. Some one damaged the new cemetery last night.
