Saving...
Monday August 10 1908 I had churning to do and the regular work. I got the dinner early and went down to the grounds alone I came home at 4.39 and went back alone at 7.12 to hear The Lion & The Mouse by Elliott. Will was in bed when I got home. Some of the home folks were there. Tuesday August 11 1908 Will helped me wash in the forenoon and it rained on the clothes so they did not get dry. I did not expect to go down to the grounds in the afternoon till late and meet Hattie there and take our suppers at the eating tent It rained hard in the evening so I did not go. I did a little mending and read the papers. Wednesday August 12 1908 I was busy with the work all forenoon. The clothes got dry so I folded them. I went down alone in the afternoon. the entertainment was very good it being the drawing of pictures. Will went with me in the evening to hear The Roney boys sing. Will did not feel well so we did not hear the programme finished. We were a little disappointed in them. Weather still warm.
