Saturday August 29 1908 We got the work done this morning and I was down to Coralville for the mail. A card from Will says he will be here tonight. I got Mrs Hoffman to stay with Mother while I went down town in the afternoon to get my teeth fixed. It was a hot day after a fearful storm last night. My chickens crowded in the corner of the house because the roof leaked and 12 were dead. Mother and I got our suppers over and sat on the porch. Sunday August 30 1908 Will came home this morning at 7.39 he had slept down home the last half of the night. He did the work as Mr Hoffman was not able. I got dinner and then took Mother home. We stopped at Woolfs on the way. I did not stay long. I did the evening work and visited with Will about his trip. I feel very tired. Monday August 31st 1908 I did some washing alone this morning. Will was busy with other work. I went down town at 2.12 for my new teeth. It was raining when I got of the car so Will came down to the depot for me. It was jist a shower. I did the evening work and read some.
