Saturday September 5 1908 I got my work done so I left home a little after 8 oclock to go to [illegible] Spencers I took Mother with me and Hattie Cora & Fannie went together. We had a splendid visit with The Stevens there too. The ride home was very tiresome as it was warmer. It was late when I got home. Will had worked very hard with the men fixing the road between our place and Art Jones. I was every tired and went to bed as soon as the work was done. Sunday September 6 1908 It was such a pleasant day. I took my time to do the morning work and Will and I went down to Otts for dinner stopping at Woolfs on the way down We had such a pleasant days visit. I got our suppers did the evening and caught 32 hens to sell. Rob & Cora rode out it was such pretty [warm?] light. Monday September 7 1908 I went to town to do some shopping. I got the check for the chickens $13.30 I was not gone long I got dinner over and sewed some in the afternoon Will had to cut corn for the hogs and was busy about the place. Weather some warmer than yesterday.
