Saving...
Friday September 18 1908 I worked most of the day with the fruit and doing sweeping and cleaning up stairs. Will got a big load of corn. Still very warm. I went to town in the evening and stayed till 9.30 but did not get to see Dr Smith. Saturday September 19 1908 I finished the peaches today. I put up 9 qts and we have used a lot of them. Will went to town in the forenoon. In afternoon Mr Vaughn put a new roof on the chicken house. It was frightfully hot. I cut a few carpet rags. Sat on the porch all evening Sunday September 20 1908 I did the morning work and went in to church. I got to see Dr Smith. Got the dinner over and laid down part of the afternoon my eyes are in such condition I cannot read or write much. Monday September 21st 1908 I was putting up tomatoes in the morning when Mr [Donner?] brought me more peaches I worked with the fruit all day. Will had to get more corn I was so tired and my eyes hurt me so I went to bed almost as soon as supper was over.
