Wednesday November 4 1908 Will went to town in the forenoon Jennie [illegible] was here awhile. Mrs Whedon came for dinner and we spent the afternoon visiting together. Hattie & Fannie went to Burlington to stay till tomorrow night. We hear Taft is President. Thursday November 5 1908 I was busy with the house-work most of the day. Will took the 16 hogs in this morning they brought $344.12. He went back to town in the afternoon to settle up for them. I called down at Mr [illegible] late in the afternoon. Gertrude Smith and Cousin were here for supper but went home on the 8.12. I went to the depot with them. We enjoyed their visit very much. A letter from Lizzie Lindley. Friday November 6 1908 I was busy all forenoon with the dinner. Cora came out at 10.39 and Rob, Clara & Fred came an hour later They all went back at 1.12 and as soon as I could read a long letter from Lydia and clear the dishes I went to Woolfs with Will on his way to town. We came home early I washed the dishes and got our suppers. I made tatting in the evening. Will was at work fixing fence all morning. Weather fine.
