Sunday November 22 1908 I was busy all forenoon with the dinner. The folks did not get here till some after twelve. George [Bremer?] came last night and took his Father & Mother to Chicago at 11.07 this A.M. Ott had to go to the west farm and left soon after dinner. Fannie went with him and the boys walked home. I did up the work and wrote some. for one thing a letter to Ann [Hensler?]. It was a year today since Father died. Monday November 23 1908 It rained in the forenoon and I was busy with the work I went to town in the afternoon to get the buttons changed on my fur coat. I fixed things ready to pack in the evening. Tuesday November 24 1908 I did a lot of cooking and the churning in the forenoon and took the butter down home in the afternoon and met Cora's sister who came with her baby to spend Thanksgiving. I did packing in evening. Wednesday November 25 1908 It was raining so I went down on the car alone to start to [illegible] Lib Stevens met me at the depot. We had a pleasant days trip. Edith met us at Peoria and Jim at the station with a carriage (It was dark and rainy) Lorna came a little later. We enjoyed the good supper and the evening awaiting us. It was a year ago today we laid Father away.
