Monday November 30 1908 I went in town with George at 7.45 reaching Chicago before 8.30. I waited in the parlor of Marshall Fields store till Ann [Hensler?] cam for me. We went directly out to her home at 3644 Prairie Ave. Her son Charlie was there and soon after [illegible] McCall came to dinner. After he left at three oclock I went over to John Harts for a call. I got back to Anns for supper. Her sister May came for that meal and to spend the evening. I am having a most delightful time. A letter from Hattie all is well. Tuesday December 1st 1908 Ann and I went down town early to Seigel & Coopers where May works. Then on out to Austin to take dinner with [illegible] and his wife. We had such a nice visit. I met Walter Lee's wife who lives near them. We came back about three oclock to Marshall Fields where we looked around till almost closing time. Then went to the [illegible] house parlor to watch the cars during the rush hour of people going home from work. It was seven oclock when we got home. Ann got us some supper and we visited till bed time. I got my things together ready to go home in the morning. The last week has been one I will never forget. Ott is 49 years old today.
