Thursday December 24 1908
I felt very tired after so much walking yesterday  I did the work and made some tatting and fixed a pair of pants for Will.  He sold three steers today for $146.20 and six brood sows for $72.00.  There was a [trio?] down to the church but I did not go down.
Friday December 25 1908
It was rather cold and windy but not storming.  I got my basket of things ready to go down at 10.12 and Will came later.  The [trio?], the presents and dinner were what they generally are.  Allie [Holsom?] had come from [Grinnell?] so we had a good visit with her.  Will came home at 3.50  I went up home and Otts folks came up there for lunch and we had a [grab-bag?] and a lot of fun.  Ott came down to the [track?] with me at 8.30.  I got a handkerchief from Mrs Brown at [Deloran?] and a rubber case from Lydia in the mail.  Rob & Cora went to [Besmers?] at 3.30 to stay over Sunday.  They gave me a book.  Hattie a bag of [illegible] paper  Fannie a doilie & [watch?] box.  LeGrand a [legible].  William a [pin?] holder.  Allie a towel  Ida & Nellie a handkerchief.  Mother a dollar and I told Will my fur coat would do for him this year.
