January 1st 1909 I was busy with the house-work all forenoon. The weather is some milder. I got us a nice dinner over so I went down home at 1.12. The Stevens family were all there for the day I took Floras collar & cuffs to her. I stayed at home till nearly 8 oclock went to town with Rob & Cora and got to see Dr Smith before coming home at 8.30. Will met me at the car and we visited awhile before going to bed. Art Jones took the little mules away today Saturday January 2 1909 Will went to town at 9.12 and took the papers to Ott so he could have the abstract made at ready to make the deed to Art Jones for the land we have sold to him by March 1st. I was busy all forenoon with the baking and work. I went over to Mrs Jones in the afternoon and spent the evening down to Mrs Charlie Robinsons. Weather warmer. Will to town afternoon. Sunday January 3 1909 It was a fine morning Will and I went to church and that makes a short afternoon by the time I got dinner over I read most of the afternoon and evening. Fannie called me up and invited me down there on Wednesday to a quilting party.
