Tuesday June 15th 1909 I was busy with the regular work and looking after the men at work. Charlie Hedges was putting up the stair rail today. I did up my white dress to wear tonight. I have taken cold & my eyes and ears hurt me terribly. Will and I went down at 7.12 and right on up to the church. It was all very beautiful the ceremony of Fred Stevens and Effie Thompson being married. We had a nice carriage to go out to the house . The [levy tables?] and every thing was fine, We got home at 11.39. I only wish I might have felt better to have enjoyed it more. Wednesday June 16th 1909 I feel better today I had baking and churning to do and the regular work. I was watching the men at work. They are putting in the furnace now Mary Woolf here awhile in the afternoon. The boys fitted the tiling under the mantel its pretty. Thursday June 17th 1909 There was a grand rush to finish things today. The furnace men got through and one fixed the refrigerator. There were so many things to see to at the last. Charlie Hedges cut down the bed in the earth room for me so it is not so high at the head. I had so much to look after and things were in such disorder when they left I was nearly worn out
