Wednesday October 26th 1904 I did some baking and was busy all forenoon, had churning to do alone. Will went to the West Farm to bring in those shingles. Lydia and I went to town afternoon. I got me a new dress skirt. We stopped at home a few moments. Thursday October 27th 1904 I was very busy all day. We packed Lydia's trunk before dinner and Will took it down in afternoon. Emma McCallister and a friend came out to see Lydia and were here for supper. I got my things ready to pack after supper. Took a bath. Went to bed early. Friday October 28th 1904 We got the breakfast over, work all done up and our selves ready to go at 9:30. Will went on the car. I drove Nellie for Lydia and I. Our train was on time and the trip all the way through was all right. Jim and Edith met us at the depot. Laura came from Mason City with a couple of girls. We visited till bed time. Saturday October 29th 1904 Laura and the girls went to Peoria for the day. After dinner Vene and I went up town spent some time at Lizzie Duncans. I stopped at Andrews to stay all night. Visited with them till late bed-time.
