Thursday November 3rd 1904 I went up town this morning and was back over to Venes for dinner. We called at Rachel Hess and over old Mrs Alexansder then I went down to Eva Taylors for supper. Jim came for me in the buggy. Friday November 4th 1904 Vene and I went to Mason City at 7:30 to visit cousin Matilda Donovan. Laura met us at the station and we visited the school doing the opening exercises. We spent a very pleasant day coming home at eight oclock. Jim met us. we went to bed early. Saturday November 5th 1904 I spent the forenoon here at home with the folks. soon after dinner I called on Mrs Matthews and Mrs Anthony Woolf. met Vene down town. we made a few purchases and got home before time for supper. Sunday November 6th 1904 Vene and I went to church together. It was fine day. I was down at Lizzie Duncans for dinner. called at Andrews on the way over. Martie was there with the Pekin train to wait for the train to Mason City. We all went to bed rather tired as it was late bed time.
