Friday January 9th 1874 I did a large washing today did not get it all finished till after dinner. Mother went to town this afternoon. I was busy doing home work all the afternoon. In the evening Owen and I had a game of cards. Saturday January 10th 1874 We were all day doing the house work Mother went to town in the afternoon. And in the evening Mother and I did the ironing. Sunday January 11th 1874 A very cold disagreable day. It was very late when we got up in the morning so the day seemed very short. I read what time I had through the day, and all the evening. Monday January 12th 1874 It was quite cold this morning so I concluded to not wash. We had only got the work done when Grandma came. After dinner I went to town made several
