13th Thursday January 29th 1874 We did a large washing this forenoon. In the afternoon I went to town. Did not get home till nearly night. At nine oclock Owen and I went over to Folsoms to a social, had a pleasant time came back home at eleven. I saw Uncle Jim Mc in town and he said Grandma and Grandpa would come up tomorrow. Friday January 30th 1874 We ironed this morning. The folks came just before dinner. Late in the afternoon I went over to town, did considerable running around and did not get home till night. In the evening had a great time boiling of maple sugar. Weather very cold. I got Mother a new wrapper. Saturday January 31st 1874 It took till two oclock to get the house work and baking done. At two oclock, I went to town and was all the afternoon making arrangements for a party to go up to Aunties on Monday practiced a little in the evening. Winnie went riding
