14th Sunday February 1st 1874 It snowed all day long We did not get up till late. Had turkey for dinner I read some and helped do the work. As we got three meals it took most of the time to do the cooking. Monday February 2nd 1874 It was clear and pleasant this morning and we were very glad of it as we were afraid it would storm today as it did yesterday and interfere with our going to Aunty Walkers tonight. I helped do the work did some baking. At half past six we started, Owen and I went with Jim Folsom, and Hattie in Morelands sleigh The rest from home in our own sleigh. It was a lovely moonlight night and the roads were beautiful. We enjoyed going out ever so much. There was a nice little party when they all arrived we had a splendid time, did not start home till after three oclock. Aunty got us a nice supper and taking it all together we enjoyed it immensely. Wrote to Geo Hand this morning.
