20th they were gone. We got supper over early and we girls got ready for company. I had a euchre party tonight. We had a very pleasant time indeed. Sunday February 15th 1874 Did not get up early this morning. Before we had the morning work done up Dick Given came in. A Law student friend of Owens was here for dinner. We had turkey for dinner. In the afternoon Will Beeson came and stayed till evening. Jim Folsom was here a little while so was Frank Fletcher. It was a continual round of company all day. I did not have time to read or write a word. Weather chilly. Monday February 16th 1874 It was a pleasant day. I got the washing all done the porch scrubbed and house all cleaned up before noon. Mother has made it a rule. That Hatt shall help about the house-work one
