22nd I wrote and played cards in the evening Rob Hattie and Winnie went over to the Junior exhibition. Friday February 20th 1874 I sewed on Robs shirts all day. Just before supper I went down to Mrs McGoverns on an errand. As I was coming up home Owen came along he had been to the river for a skate. I walked around in the yard for a few moments before they called us to supper. Mr Armstrong came over in the evening and brought some hickory nuts. The girls cracked them, popped some corn and we had a lively time. I sewed til eleven oclock. Saturday February 21st 1874 I finished the shirts this forenoon and did some other sewing. Jim Folsom was in here in the forenoon. Owen was not at home to dinner, and felt quite indisposed in the evening when he did come. I read most all the evening.
