25th very pleasant time. Hattie went to Pauls to a party tonight. Weather pleasant. Saturday February 28th 1874 It took all day to do the house-work, rather pleasant in the morning but in the afternoon it rained slightly. In the evening Mr Armstrong and Mr Little were here. I read some and later in the evening Owen came in to play a game of cards, enjoyed the game very much as I always do when playing with him. Sunday March 1st 1874 Not a very pleasant day. I helped about the morning work and the dinner. And read in the afternoon. About sundown Owen and I put on our over shoes and started out in the lot for a walk. Rob came out with the sleigh to do the feeding and we got on for a ride. Came back to the house for the rest of the folks. They were all glad to go and he took us all around the lot and out onto the road for a ride we had a screaming old time, helped with the supper and wrote to Charlie in the evening.
