27th Thursday March 5th 1874 Mother had some sewing to do: so I did the work in the forenoon I did so much baking and got all through by noon. The girls both went to town in the afternoon and Mother and I sewed. Was busy all the evening. Weather cloudy and unpleasant. Friday March 6th 1874 A fogy miserably day. I sewed all day, just before night it cleared of and us young folks went over to Fletchers to the party. We had just the very best time of the season. It stormed in the night and we did not get home till five oclock in the morning. Saturday March 7th 1874. We ate breakfast this morning at nine oclock. After I had done some little house work that fell to my lot I sat down to sew. I put away my work at four oclock on account of head ache and wrote in the evening and visited with Owen who spent the time in our part of the house. Weather colder.
