31st before dinner Owen and I took a walk out in the lot. Monday March 16th 1874 The weather cold cloudy and disagreable I sewed all the time I had today. Did not feel at all well. Tuesday March 17th 1874. I sewed a little in the morning. Grand-ma and Grand-pa came before dinner and spent the day. I helped a little about the dinner and supper. I sewed till quite late at night. Owen came in for a moments chat after the girls had gone to bed. Wednesday March 18th 1874. I went over to town early this morning, was not gone very long. When I came back went right at my sewing. Toward evening my throat hurt me terribly. I did not feel able to eat any supper. I did not go to bed till quite late though. Weather still quite disagreable. The rest of the folks played cards all the evening, wrote to Charlie.
