32nd Thursday March 19th 1874 I washed this forenoon. Frank Fletcher came in this morning and said they were going to have their party next week so I concluded to have one tomorrow night. As soon as I had eaten my dinner I got ready to go down town with Owen as he went to school. I invited some folks from town for tomorrow night. Got a basketful of groceries. After I came home I baked one cake. I ironed a little in the evening. Friday March 20th 1874. I was very busy all day. I got most of the baking and some of the sweeping and dusting done before dinner. Besides going over to Folsoms for a pair of parlor lamps. Mother went to town after dinner. I was hard at work all the time she was gone. Before it was time for any one to come we were all dressed and every thing was in readiness to recieve company.
