34th Monday March 23rd 1874 I helped all the forenoon about the house-work and immediately after dinner Rob, Winnie and my self were compelled to go to the Court house to testify in a case. Hattie went too. As soon as I left the court house I went down town bought me a pair of white kid slippers. Mother was over to town this afternoon. I sewed all the evening. Tuesday March 24th 1874 I helped do the work in the forenoon. As soon as they had eaten their dinners Hattie and Winnie went to the valley to stay over night. Mother and I had to go to the court-house this afternoon. As soon as I got through there I came directly home. Did some baking and had the supper nearly ready when Mother got home from town. I was so tired that I visited with Owen in the evening, And did not attempt to work any. Went to bed early. A bright day but very cold for time of year.
