37th and Frank Fletcher were here all the afternoon Mr Armstrong called to see Winnie. I wrote a letter to Charlie in the evening. Monday March 30th 1874 I went to town with Lee this morning in the buggy. I got some groceries and made some calls Monday morning though it was. As soon as we got home from town, Lee went to the valley with Hatt. We wanted him away from home today. As we were getting up a party for a surprise for him tonight. I was busy all day about the house-work. Hatt and Lee came home just before dark and Mollie Stevens came home with them. We had a real pleasant time in the evening. Lee seemed to enjoy it very much. Tuesday March 31st 1874. I was realy sick today. Did not get up till nearly two oclock in the afternoon. I fixed me some-thing to eat. And then made an attempt to sew some. Winnie and Mr Armstrong spent the evening at Folsoms. Mr Allen made every
