43rd I cut me out a night dress, and sewed on it. In the evening Mr Armstrong and Frank Fletcher were here and every body played cards. Wednesday April 15th I did a large washing and got it all done by noon. In the afternoon I did some house-work and brought the clothes in and rolled them up. Mother went to town and I had the supper nearly ready when she got home. In the evening I sewed a little, went to bed early. Thursday April 16th 1874. I ironed nearly all the forenoon. As soon as I got the clothes put away I hurried and did the sweeping and dusting and got the table set for dinner. Owen brought a gentleman friend home to dinner. In the afternoon I went over to Mrs Moores visiting. Winnie came after me in the buggy It was dark before we got home. I sewed in the evening and made a poultice for Owens hand he hurt it playing base ball.
