45th Sunday April 19th 1874 I helped do up the work this forenoon and changed my dress before dinner. We had turkey for dinner and Winnie over and brought her Father over to dinner. It rained in the afternoon so Hattie could not go to the valley. I read a little in the afternoon and went to bed early in the evening. Jim Folsom was here in the evening. The girls popped some corn. Monday April 20th 1874. When we got up this morning it was snowing terribly. and continued to storm till nearly noon. In the afternoon Hattie got a chance to go to the valley with Jim Stevens. I sewed what time I had during the day and in the evening. Tuesday April 21st 1874. We washed this forenoon. It was late in the afternoon before we got all through. I sewed a little in the afternoon and some after supper but played whist most of the eve.
