51st to go for a little boat ride. I went down to the river with him but he could not get the boat so we came right back again. Winnie drove over to town for Mrs Moore this afternoon. We had a pleasant visit with her and after supper I took her home. Owen came down town to ride back with me. It was a beautiful evening We enjoyed the ride home very much. Mr Armstrong called to see Winnie and we had several interesting games of whist. Friday May 1st 1874. I sewed all the time I had today when I was not busy at the house-work. Mother was away all the afternoon, did not get home till supper was ready. I made Mother two light calico aprons today and in the evening I sewed some for myself on muslin. Winnie went with Mr Armstrong to a party down at Robin's tonight. Owen and I had a chat after the folks had gone to bed. This has been a windy and disagreeable day.
