52nd Saturday May 2nd 1874. A most disagreeable day. The wind blowed a gale all day. I sewed a little and helped do the work. Winnie did not get up very early. Owen did not get up for breakfast and when he did went down town and I did not see him at all during the day. Winnie and I went to town after supper but the wind blew so we were glad to hurry back home again. We both went to bed early. Sunday May 3rd 1874. When I woke up this morning it was raining and it continued to rain most of the day. I helped do the work and that took a good part of the day. In the evening I read a little. Jim Folsom was here awhile in the afternoon. Monday May 4th 1874. It was not a very pleasant day but I washed. In the afternoon I took the stove out of Owen's room. changed my dress before supper Jim Folsom spent the evening here We played whist
