53rd Tuesday May 5th 1874. I ironed this forenoon and sewed a little on Lee a shirt and mended the clothes and put them away. Mother was gone to town all the afternoon. I had supper ready when she got home. I went down town after supper. I got me material for a polinaise. We played whist all the evening. Wednesday 6th 1874 I did the work this forenoon while Mother and Winnie went down town. In the afternoon I went over to Mrs Ogles to have my polinaise cut. Owen went over to town as I did. It was so warm I felt awful tired when I came home. I sewed a little and helped get the supper. In the evening played whist. Thursday May 7th 1874. Mother went to town this forenoon. I washed out a few pieces and got the dinner. In the afternoon Mother and Winnie went to town in the buggy. Mother got me a new fan and a flower to wear in my hair tonight. I ironed
