55th Sunday May 10th 1874. Mother and Lee took Hattie down in the valley this morning. I did the work all day. Did not get dinner till three oclock. and had only a lunch for supper. It rained so Mother and Lee did not get home tonight I went to bed early. Monday May 11th 1874 I had only just got the work done this morning when Mother came home. It was a little before dinner. And in the afternoon Winnie and I went up to Aunt Walkers. We had a very pleasant visit and did not get home till after dark. It was a very pleasant [illegible] Owen and I sat out on the porch tonight and talked a little while. Tuesday May 12th 1874. We did an awful big washing today. In the afternoon Mother Winnie and I all went to town I helped get supper and did up the work and rolled up the clothes ready to iron. In the evening talked with Owen.
