56th Wednesday May 13th 1874. I ironed till noon and for some time after dinner. When I got through the ironing and the clothes put away, Mother and I emptied some feathers and fixed pillows. We did not have supper till late. We played whist all the evening. Owen and I beat Father and Winnie four games in succession. A very pleasant day. Winnie and I went to town after supper. Thursday May 14th 1874 It was rainy and disagreeable this morning. I took down the sitting room stove and cleaned out closets and changed some pillows. In the afternoon Mother and I cleaned out the north bed room and got the little bed down from up stairs. played cards in the evening and after supper Winnie and I cleaned closets up stairs. Friday May 15th 1874. I began to clean the rooms up stairs this morning. Got the east one all ready to put
