59th Tuesday May 19th 1874. Winnie and I got ready and went to town the first thing after breakfast and got paper for the sitting room and kitchen. Went to the market and grocery on errands. As soon as I came back I changed my dress and began to clean the sitting room Mother helped me after dinner and we got it ready to paper. After an early supper Owen and I took old Jack and the buggy and went down to Jim McCollisters to see if Grand-ma and Grand-pa were there. We were not fortunate enough to see them but had a very pleasant call and came back through town. We did not get home till nine oclock. After we came home we had quite a celebration making lemonade. it was late before we went to bed. Wednesday May 20th 1874. I put the paper on the sitting room today and got the carpet down
