51st Saturday May 23rd 1874. I helped do up the work this morning and sat down to sew while Mother and Father went to town. When they came back I was sitting out on the porch all alone and Father wanted me to ride out with him to the field where Rob was and bring the horse and buggy back again. Owen was out there, having gone out with Rob and he came back with me. We had Oh! such a pleasant ride. In the afternoon I ironed some and talked with the girls. Winnie and I went to town late in the afternoon, did some shopping and got home just as they were sitting down to supper. I helped wash the supper dishes and read a little and talked with the girls. Owen went down town after supper. Sunday May 24 1874 It was an awful warm morning I only helped do the work in the morning and laid down and slept till dinner was
