64th Wednesday May 27th 1874. I ironed all the forenoon and after dinner I sewed a little. Mother and I got the supper over early and we drove over to town to do some shopping and to invite some company for Friday evening. it was nearly night before we got home. I washed the supper dishes after I came home and Mother put away the milk I read and talked with Owen in the evening. Thursday May 28th 1874. I did some more ironing this forenoon and put away the clothes I ironed yesterday it was a very warm morning. After dinner I baked four cakes and Mother and I went to town. and got back in time to get the supper. We invited more company for tomorrow evening and got some things we will need for then. I had intended to bake more cake after I came home but it was too late and I was so very tired. I read all the evening and talked awhile with Owen after the folks had gone to bed.
