65th Friday May 29th 1874. The first thing when I got up this morning while Mother was getting the breakfast I made the beds up stairs and did part of the sweeping and as soon as I had finished my breakfast I began to bake cake, and did not get all done till just noon. As soon as I had eaten my dinner while Mother washed the dishes I began to clean up the parlor. By four oclock we had the house all in order. We had rather an early supper and Lee and the girls came home just as it was ready. Mr Morrison came just as we were through eating. I had to excuse myself to go to town in the buggy after a few necessary things. I was gone about an hour. As soon as I came home. I dressed for the evening. I did not feel at all well. The most of the company that I invited came and all appeared to enjoy themselves very much. We had very good music. and it was a beautiful moonlight night. and not so very warm.
