66th Saturday May 30th 1874. I got up this morning and helped wash the dishes that were dirtied last night and to get the breakfast on the table and then took a pillow and laid down on the sofa and did not eat anything or sit up all day. Mother was to town in the morning. It rained a little in the afternoon but was warm and close all day. I went to bed about nine oclock. Sunday May 31st 1874. We did not get up very early this morning. I helped some about the work and wrote some before dinner. After dinner I changed my dress and went to town in the buggy after Winnie, who had walked over to see her Father. We drove out east of town and when we came back to the end of the bridge, Owen came down from the hill and got in the buggy with us. We drove down to the fair ground. Hattie and Jim Folsom were boat riding in the afternoon and Jim spent the evening here, talking to the girls. I wrote a letter to Charlie.
