69th just at noon it rained terribly, and continued to storm all the afternoon. I sewed on my polinaise in the afternoon and evening. Owen went down town after supper. But came right back saying there would be no show tonight. Friday June 5th 1874. I helped do up the work this morning and then sat down to my sewing I helped get the dinner and right away after dinner I finished my polinaise and cut out Mother a new calico dress. After supper Winnie and I dressed and went to society with Rob. We did not go to bed for some time after we came home. A year ago tonight we had a party here at home. Saturday June 6th 1874. We did not get up very early this morning. I helped some about the work and then sat down to sew. I had only just got to work when Owen got up and I stopped to get him some breakfast. I got
