70th the skirt to Mothers dress done and the overskirt begun. I sewed some in the evening. It rained nearly the whole day and just at night it stormed terribly. Sunday June 7th 1874. It was late when we got up this morning, so it made it nearly noon before the work was done. After dinner I changed my dress and began to write a letter to Charlie Just before sundown Owen and I took a walk through the lot. After we came back I got supper, for Jim Folsom was here and I thought he would stay to supper. But no as I had supper all ready he went off home. It was nine oclock when we got through eating. I helped wash the dishes, finished my letter and listened to Owen read out loud from a book of poems. Monday June 8th 1874. It was a rainy disagreeable day I sewed all day. Finished Mothers dress before supper. In the evening Jim Folsom was here and we played whist.
