78th Tuesday June 23rd 1874. I finished the washing this forenoon and scrubbed the porch. After dinner I finished my wrapper. In the evening I sewed a few carpet rags, rolled the clothes up, and talked with Owen. Wednesday June 24th 1874. I ironed till nine oclock this morning and then Mother and I got ready and went to town It was nearly noon when we got home. In the afternoon I cut out my buff calico dress, and sewed on it till time to light a lamp. Then talked with Owen till time to go to bed. Weather very warm. Thursday June 25th 1874. Mother and I went to town again this morning and were late getting back. As soon as we got dinner over I baked three cakes and ironed the shirts. Aunty Walker and Uncle were here a little while in the afternoon. I sewed some after supper and later in the evening, gossiped with Owen. Weather hot
