80th read a little before time to get dinner. Did not change my dress till just before noon. Rob had a couple of friends from town to take dinner with him, and Frank Fletcher was here to dinner. As soon as I helped wash the dishes Otto and I went down to the river to watch Owen and Frank take a boat-ride. Before they came along with the boat, Will Beeson and Wife and I. Garretson came along and I came up home with them. They stayed till nearly night. I wrote some to Charlie after they had gone. When Owen came home he was nearly sick with the head-ache. Mr Sargent called to see him and stayed till nearly nine oclock. As soon as he had gone home, we all went to bed. Monday June 29th 1874. We did not wash today. I sewed all the time I had besides helping do the work. Just before supper I walked to town. I ate my supper when I came back, and sewed till nine oclock. Owen came then, and I talked with him.
