82nd quarts of cherries and after we got that done I put a new facing on my blue silk skirt. The girls went down town after supper I brought in the clothes and rolled them up Mrs Fletcher and the little girls were here a few moments this evening. Weather dry and hot. Thursday July 2nd 1874. I ironed till after nine oclock this morning and then Mother and I went to town and did not get home till almost twelve oclock. In the afternoon I cut out and sewed on my new light wrapper. Friday July 3rd 1874. Hattie was washing calico clothes this morning I helped with her work till eight oclock. Then dressed and rode over to town with Lee. After I came back I ironed all the sheets and shirts and baked a cake before dinner. In the afternoon I sewed on my wrapper. Aunty & Uncle Walker and Mary Billingsley were here for supper. I helped put the milk away, and rolled up the clothes for Hattie as she had company; washed my velvet waist after supper.
